Avoid snagging of the tow rope under the wheels as this will result in breakage of the tow rope, try to keep the tow rope taut while towing use the brakes on the towing car gently to slow down both vehicles when coming to a halt. If the engine is not running the brakes will become hard to press and less efficient and the hand brake may be required to slow the vehicle.
